Join local artist and educator Abby Cushway this June for hands-on art experiences designed to spark curiosity and creativity. From clay nature impressions to mini pottery wheel fun, each drop-in session offers a unique opportunity to learn from a working artist and create something of your own.

Drop-in studio schedule:

Spend your evening playing, creating, and exploring during 3rd Thursday at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum on June 18! 🌈

What are 3rd Thursdays? Every third Thursday of the month, downtown galleries, shops, restaurants, & cultural spots stay open late with special events, exhibitions, & deals— GRCM joins the fun with extended hours until 8pm and just $3 admission from 4–8pm.

Tonight, join local artist Michaela Nichelle from 5–7pm to create Marsha P. Johnson-inspired mixed media art.

Michaela’s work is a vibrant exploration of Black expressionism and experience. Michaela's love for Black girlhood is fundamental to their work; through it, Michaela delves deep into the complexities of identity, culture, and history with their art.
