Barney Teufel built the Well Block in 1898-1899. As soon as the building was finished the post office moved into the east side of the building and Hugh D. Dubois Co. moved into the west side. The post office remained at that location until 1924. The Grass Lake News moved into a south room in 1909. The buildings to the right of the Well Block are Vern Seaver’s Barber Shop and the town hall. From the collection of James Damaron.
