The Michigan Military History Museum was founded in 2016 to bring to life the rich history of Michigan's contributions in war and peace. Although we do focus heavily on the involvement of Michigan in the U.S Military; we have artifacts from all over the world, and from many different time periods. We truly strive to be "Where History Matters", and we look forward to meeting you all soon!

Today we completed a new entrance to the WWI trench exhibit and were finally able to add our tribute to Dennis Skupinski who we lost in 2023. Dennis was the heart and soul of Michigan's WW1 Centennial and was appointed as its Chairman by Governor Snyder. Stop in to see the newly remodeled exhibits and additional artifacts added to the display!

To close out a beautiful Living History Day here at the museum we thought we would share a different view. Our friend Matt and his Wife Celine brought out their drone and did some amazing aerial shots of the event. What a great day of sharing history and a huge thank you to all who came out and made it happen. It was a tough day with UM and MSU home games, and bow hunting, but we got it done.

Friday we were reminded of the rich history of Detroit music. We spent the evening with Rhythm Corps at St. Andrews Hall and it was just what one would expect. Amazing music and friends, amazing crowd, and a part of Detroit's rich fabric. So glad to have been there, and to see that throughout time, being a part of the Motor City is truly special and unlike anywhere else, whether its military history, car culture, hockey, or amazing music. Thanks to Michael, Davey, Ritchie, and Greg for keeping the music alive and making it our 'Common Ground'.
