Tonight at Tennyson High School HAC Executive Director Winda Shimizu (left) and board member Louis Jiminez (right) presented music student Dane Doug (center) with the Hayward Arts Council Scholarship Award. Dane has been in the music program since 7th grade. Over the course of his time at Tennyson HS, he learned to play and excel at the cello and bass guitar while also dabbling on tuba and string bass. He was also member of the choir.
Not only has he been an integral part of the music program at Tennyson, his ability to lead by example and take on the challenging tasks inspires his fellow classmates. Dane is a pillar of the music program and his contributions will be missed. Congratulations to Dane!!
