Hammerfriar Gallery - Contemporary Fine Art and Museum Quality Framing

Since opening in February of 2005, Hammerfriar has grown to become
an important part of Sonoma County's visual arts. The Gallery regularly
features original artwork by both established and emerging Sonoma
County and Bay Area contemporary and conceptual artists.

TODD BARRICKLOW creates vessels, boxes and tile, all with sgraffito surface treatment. Inspired by the classical amphora as a vessel of culture and utility, his work continues this tradition by depicting, in narrative tension, the tools, machinery and transportation of our place in time. ART MOURA is a painter and sculptor working with paper, wood and found materials. Through imagery that is at once tender, sometimes brutal, and emotionally raw, his work embraces the inescapably ephemeral and poignant truths of life. Art Moura

We’re incredibly excited to welcome, The Lost & Gone, local Americana folk duo, to Hammerfriar to play our Art Nite, this Thursday! 8/6

The theme for August’s First Thursday is “Music & Mocktails,” so participating galleries will have NA bevies and live music on proverbial tap. ArtNiteHealdsburg

The Lost & Gone will strum, tap and croon an acoustic set, 5-7p.

Happy July!
This is a holiday week at Hammerfriar.

One more Art Nite with “Forms in Flux” this Thursday, 5-7p.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, come! This is a wonderful collection of paintings and collages by Healdsburg artist, Kerry Vander Meer and sculpture by Oakland artist Laura Van Duren. The gallery is full of color and experimental shapes, movement and whimsy.

Show artist, Kerry Vander Meer and local artist/gallerist Marla Allison will be opening the gallery, 5-7p.

Come say hello to Marla in gallery today! It’s nice and cool, and full of “Forms in Flux,” Kerry Vander Meer and Laura Van Duren’s whimsical installation of paintings and sculpture.

An accomplished painter in her own right, and hailing from the Laguna Pueblo of New Mexico, Marla Allison moved to Healdsburg after establishing herself in the Santa Fe art world. We are thrilled to have her on board part time at Hammerfriar Gallery.
