Opening Today at the Thomas Stevens Gallery - one of our fav group exhibitions - Nuda Veritas (Naked Truth), 5th Annual Group Exhibit Celebrating the Art N**e.
Featuring 11 remarkable artists, plus a few selections from my personal art collection.
What else could be so expressive, so symbolic, so universal yet so personal, so provocative, so rich with artistic potential, as is the bare human body. A pillar of western art for 2000 years, the art n**e has evolved from being a subject of art to an art genre in its own right.
For collectors and art appreciators, here's an opportunity to see and acquire works from master North Carolina artists.

Our opening reception coincides with the Hillsborough Last Fridays Art Walk, 6-9 pm April 24th - with tons of art, music, and fun. Here at the gallery enjoy jazz selections from the Great American Songbook by the King Street Jazz Quartet.

Saturday, Artist Talk with Sudie Rakusin and Marilyn Palsha, and last chance to see their remarkable exhibit (and great opportunity to walk away with some fabulous artworks)

Sunday, Book reading with Jay Bryan, former Carrboro Poet Laureate - sponsored by our wonderful local bookstore, Purple Crow Books - upstairs in Suite 42

And then only a week before the annual Nuda Veritas exhibit opens on an exciting Last Fridays, followed by the 'Big Show' of large works in June - Yay!

And come meet the artist, as well as enjoy music by some members of Hillsborough's beloved The Shoaldiggers on Friday evening, Feb 27th - Whoo-Hoo!!

What a wonderful opening reception for Jim Adams’ solo show, Ategenos - not to mention an informative, inspirational, and heartfelt talk by the artist up in Suite 42.
The exhibit will be up through March 7th.
Jim will be back on site for the Last Fridays Art Reception, 6-9, on Feb 27 (and we’ll also have music provided by some members of the Shoaldiggers!))
