Next weekend, Monterroso Gallery presents PATINA OF THE HIGHLIGHTS by Alfredo García and HOLDING LIGHt, featuring Ken Mazzu, Eve Leonard, Margaret O’Brien Nelson, and Jonas Criscoe.

Patina of the Highlands is a solo exhibition by Alfredo García, known in Guatemala as Maestro García, with over four decades of exhibiting his work.

Inspired by his work, we invited four Houston-based artists whose practices share a similar sense of observation and calm. This selection extends the conversation—creating space for local artists and building a bridge with Houston. Each brings something that contributes to the whole.
