A community art gala at Ithaca Tompkins International Airport showcased Cornell student work, local artists and performances as part of a broader effort to strengthen the airport’s connection to the Ithaca community.

Airport Director Roxan Noble summed it up well: “We are proud to partner with local artists, educators, and organizations to create an experience that celebrates creativity, community, and connection right here at ITH.” 

Turning a transportation hub into a community arts venue is no small feat. Huge kudos to the ITH crew, Mix Art Gallery Ithaca, CUSD, and all the artists and volunteers who made the terminal come alive. Hope the turnout was great and everyone enjoyed the flights of culture!
