The Museum of Measurement and Time displays include over 450 clocks made by many of the American Clock manufacturing companies dating from the 1700's through the 1900's. Our exhibits feature numerous unique calculating and mathematical devices,

The collection includes many examples of early surveying instruments, maps of early America and Texas. The period of 1800- 1900, is represented by equipme

nt developed during that time period. These items have become commonplace and are examples of the technological advances made during that period. . Of special interest is our collection of over 1,400 sets of Salt & Pepper Shakers. This exhibit features sets from each of the states and illustrates how extensive the production and collecting was during the 1900's. Examples illustrate the wide range of subjects and materials used in their production. The museum library includes books concerning historical land surveyors, their boundaries and the role they had in the growth of America. These records and written information cover the wide extent of the museum exhibits.
