Whoa, we totally crushed it with colored pencils today! 🌈 The student learned how layering three colors in the same family can make such a difference for light and shadow. It's all about building those tones to create depth and form. Thinking about how light hits things is a whole new perspective now! This is going to make the students drawings so much more realistic. sample image.

Drawing is fundamentally about OBSERVATION. The art student was given homework to select an object(s) to observe and draw. The student did a wonderful job capturing the elements of each sneaker!

Yesterday afternoon Art With All hosted a wallpaper self-portrait collage workshop with extraordinary artist and art teacher, Mansa K. M***a. Participants created self portraits using varieties of wallpaper, and 3D objects. The range of beautifully crafted self-portraits were on full display, and we are grateful to be led by an incredible artist/teacher. More to come in the spring!Had the most amazing time yesterday afternoon at the Art With All wallpaper self-portrait collage workshop! 🤩 Seriously, it was so much fun getting creative with such a unique art form. I loved seeing everyone's individual style shine through their collages. The instructor was absolutely brilliant and made the whole process super accessible. Definitely feeling inspired and might have to try making more collages at home! 🎨
