In 2013, the Museum was accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

Join us September 5 from 11 AM–1 PM for Charro Embroidery with Aleida Castro. Explore traditional Charro-inspired patterns and create your own 4”x6” take-home art print using fabric scraps and paper.

This workshop kicks off a year-round series highlighting textile traditions and the stories they carry during cultural observation months.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Trainer Fest 2026! We loved seeing families exploring the Museum, taking part in activities, meeting fellow trainers, and enjoying the day together.

Did you know all of our Museum Animon are created by local artists and fans? Each one is brought to life by passionate volunteer artists inspired by the animals, artifacts, and items found throughout the Museum.

This year, we’re inviting YOU to join the tradition with our Trainer Fest Animon Art Contest, open for ONE DAY ONLY — Saturday, August 22!

Create your own Museum-inspired Animon and submit it digitally online that day or in person during Trainer Fest.

🏆 Winners will see their Animon become part of the magic at next year’s Trainer Fest!
