We love seeing museum leaders team up to keep history alive! Jacksonville Military Museum Director Elizabeth Anderson recently caught up with David Collins, curator of the incredible new exhibit, "Manufacturing Victory in Arkansas," currently on display at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History.
This fascinating exhibit dives deep into the home front efforts that shaped the war, specifically examining the six critical WWII ordnance plants that operated right here in our state:
Jacksonville
Pine Bluff
Maumelle
El Dorado
Hope
Camden
From local workers to global impact, these facilities played a massive role in America's wartime production. If you haven't had a chance to explore this piece of our shared heritage yet, make sure to plan a visit!
