Macon Arts Alliance is the designated local arts agency of Macon-Bibb County. Macon Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984.

The mission of the Macon Arts Alliance is to foster and support the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia. We are working to create an environment where arts and culture thrive and Central Georgia is recognized as an unparalleled cultural destination. Since then, the arts alliance has worked to support, promote and advocate for the multi-million arts and culture industry in Macon-Bibb County and throughout Central Georgia. We serve more than 60 arts and cultural organizations and the fine arts programs of five universities throughout the mid-state, reaching an audience of more than 500,000 people. Macon Arts Alliance is supported by public investments from Macon-Bibb County and Georgia Council for the Arts, and through generous private support from foundations, corporations and private contributions. We invite you to explore this website to learn about our projects and programs at work in the midstate. The values of Macon Arts Alliance include:

Get to know Kelly Joyner, local painter and co-founder of Willow Cottage Weddings and Le Petit Marriage!

Though she majored in Fine Arts in college, Kelly has held a number of titles, including paralegal, police officer, Montessori teacher, and aerobics instructor! Her marriage services—Willow Cottage Weddings and Le Petit Marriage—provide personalized wedding options for couples, with couples being able to choose every detail of their special day. As an artist, Kelly specializes in landscapes, scenic paintings, portraits, and animals.

Meet Ric Geyer: sculptor, art developer, and the mind behind Triangle Arts Macon and Valkill Furniture!

With a background in corporate consulting, Ric is no stranger to finding the best solutions and strategies for those in need. In 2022, he founded Triangle Arts Macon, a creative hub where artists can find their voices and people can experience local and regional art. As a sculptor and furniture builder, Ric designs pieces that combine artistry and craftsmanship that are not only visually appealing, but functional.

Get to know Dr. Warren Griffin, a painter, musician, and the featured artist in our October show, "Art and Music"!

Born in Macon and raised in Alabama, Dr. Griffin's educational background was in the medical field, receiving his MD degree from the University of Alabama Medical School and completing his Otolaryngology specialty training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. After retiring from medical practice in 1999, Dr. Griffin focused his time on art. He specializes in landscapes, portraits, figurative paintings, and works with a musical theme.

Coming soon to the gallery: “Art and Music” by Dr. Warren Griffin! 🎻🪊🎹

In his time playing oboe, Dr. Warren Griffin met many fellow skilled musicians whom he greatly admired, and this experience prompted him to choose musicians and musical groups as subjects for his art, many of which you will see when you stop by for the opening reception THIS FRIDAY!

Come by to check out Dr. Warren Griffin’s art from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and listen to Dr. Griffin talk about his art at 6:00 pm!
