Located on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, Dare County Arts Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging the arts in Dare County through advocacy, enrichment and opportunity. Our Gallery is located at 300 Queen Elizabeth Street in historic downtown Manteo, North Carolina. In addition to a gallery for established and emerging artists, we also offer workshops,

classes and performances. Just a few of our annual events include:

~ The Frank Stick Memorial Show
~ The Mollie Fearing Memorial Show
~ Artrageous Kids Art Festival
~ Rock The Cape
~ New World Festival Of The Arts
~ Veterans Writing Workshop

Our gallery features original works of art in painting, photography, jewelry, fiber, metals, pottery and printmaking. DCAC is also home to the Art-O-Mat, a re-purposed cigarette machine now designed to dispense tiny, original works of art. Be sure to check it out when visiting.

Mark the calendar! Emily Holmes' solo exhibit "The Perception Project" will open in our Vault Gallery at 6pm on Friday, July 3.

"The Perception Project" features interactive artworks that explore how perception shifts through movement, light, layering, and visual illusion. Visitors can expect to encounter colorful mixed-media paintings, optical effects, hidden imagery, textured glass, and experimental pieces that change depending on where you stand or how you engage with them.
