Our friends at Theatre of Dare invite audiences to take a trip to Tuna, Texas, this summer with its production of Greater Tuna, a fast-paced comedy that has delighted theatergoers for more than four decades.
Performing Wednesday and Thursday evenings from June 24 through August 13, Greater Tuna features actors Mike Blanchard and Leah Cribb as radio DJs Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie, who serve as guides through the eccentric world of Tuna, known as "the third smallest town" in Texas.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on June 24 and 25, July 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30, and August 5, 6, 12 and 13.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased online at theatreofdareobx.com or at the door, subject to availability. The production is rated PG-13 for adult themes and language.
