The first Memorial Day was held on May 30th, 1868, to honor the fallen soldiers of the civil war. Today, we remember the ones who have died in combat, and passed away that served. This shouldn’t be celebrated as a happy day, but a day of fun and celebration with family and friends, to enjoy the freedoms you have to enjoy the life you are living today, while remembering the sacrifices of our military. Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day everyone! 🇺🇸

Long time member Roxie Herring lost her battle with cancer on May 2. Our hearts and prayers go out to her husband, Pat. Pat was our president from 2023-2024.

Roxie was an amazing quilter and provided us with 11 Bloomfield raffle quilts over the years.

Here is the link to her obituary along with some pics of her wonderful work.

⛈️☔️Okay members, TODAYS MEETING IS BEING POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT SUNDAY, MAY 3rd. PLEASE SHARE!!

This is due to the “POSSIBILITY” of inclement weather with at least high winds, hail and torrential rain, during our meeting hours. We understand, that it “COULD” do nothing. But, there is no reason with the decent chances being forecast, to risk members navigating severe weather. Stay safe, we will post later about Saturday workday. See everyone next Sunday!! 🌪️
