Recently, we had a customer in the gallery decide between two pairs of earrings, both by the same Artist, Carina Shoshtary, and both equally stunning.

It’s tough to choose the right pair. Questions stir up: Does this color go with my wardrobe? How often will I wear them out? Am I in love? The latter being the most important to answer!

Art Jewelry is an investment in your personal style. You want to feel something when you put it on and sometimes multiple things make you feel something equally very good.

How do you decide what pair to wear?

Just a few weeks ago, I found myself at Le Pain Quotidien on the Upper East Side of NYC with my husband Bob and the artist Barbara Seidenath.

Thomas and I always used to meet there - I would order a cappuccino, and he would order a macchiato and his absolute favorite, the lemon tart. On that day, we all shared a lemon tart in his memory.

So many people have reached out with fond memories of Thomas - thank you!

Have you seen it?

In March, artist Keith Lewis took part in ART JEWELRY FORUM Munich 2026 Speaker Series during Munich Jewellery Week. His presentation, "Partly Miscible: My Uneasy Relationship with European Studio Jewelry" is now available to watch.

Watch it here: https://artjewelryforum.org/ajf-at-munich-2026/

"With tongue firmly in cheek, the American jeweler reflects on what he finds both interesting and irritating about European-influenced studio jewelry."

It was a pleasure to watch Keith speak during Munich and thanks to ART JEWELRY FORUM, if you missed it - you can watch it!

It was time.

We've been building a new website and it's close to completion. Migrating 20 years of exhibitions and publications to a new platform has been no small feat!

Congratulations are in order!

Multi disciplinary maker, writer, and performer matt lambert has earned their doctorate after a successful dissertation defense in late February from Konstfack - University of Arts, Crafts, and Design. It's been a joy to watch this incredible artist grow and evolve.

Their dissertation, entitled "Cruising with Craft to the Ends of the Worlds: Practices of shattering, becoming scyborg and dancing with dragons as possible cartographies," is available for order through the artist.

Congratulations matt! We are eagerly awaiting to see what unfolds for you next.

Looking back in anticipation of what's to come.

Steven KP's 2022 exhibition "over, onto itself" brought carved wooden jewelry to our walls, pieces that looped and folded, and that held quiet truths about resilience and identity within their elegant forms.

We're building something meaningful for the months ahead and looking forward to what is taking shape.

More soon 🤍

A conversation around pearls...

Pearl Lab at RISD is an interdisciplinary program exploring oysters, ecosystems, and the creative potential of pearls through science, material experimentation, and contemporary art jewelry. It brings together research, fieldwork, and hands-on making to expand understanding of pearls beyond tradition.

As part of the program, gallery director Patti Bleicher joined students for a hands-on session featuring contemporary art jewelry by leading international artists. Through touch, wear, and close looking, she guided the group through the diverse ways artists are reimagining pearl.

More from a gallery director’s camera roll…

A few photos I took to remember the exhibitions and pieces that stayed with me during Munich Jewellery Week, especially David Bielander's solo exhibition "Chiaroscuro" at Galerie Zink and "Paper Becoming", featuring works by Attai Chen.

Galerie Zink organized a shuttle to their space about two hours outside Munich with pretzels, drinks, and the German countryside to enjoy along the way. Thank you to curator Michael and everyone who made the experience so thoughtful.

Papierwerk Glockenbach was the perfect setting for "Paper Becoming", where finished works sat alongside sketches, tests, and fragments, offering a deeper look into Attai’s most essential material: paper.

I saw a lot more exhibitions than I documented during Munich Jewellery Week, but these are a few that made it into my camera roll.
