The Art Museum of WVU fuels inspiration and ignites creativity. Admission is always free.

The Art Museum of WVU is located near the Creative Arts Center on Patteson Drive, making the University's vast art collection more accessible to the campus and public alike. The facility has two art galleries that present touring exhibitions as well as exhibitions drawn from the University's collection.

That’s a wrap on the 4th year of our interdisciplinary Trout in the Classroom collaboration. 🐟

We work with professor Jennifer Ripley Stueckle and schools to show how science and art complement one another. 🔬🎨

➡️ Students raise trout in their schools and learn about their lifecycles and biological needs.

➡️ Art Museum staff and student-workers visit their classrooms and teach them how to draw trout.

➡️ Students in WVU’s printmaking program transfer the elementary schoolers’ drawings to screens.

➡️ Everyone takes a field trip to release the trout into WV waterways and make beautiful custom prints to commemorate the project.

Thanks to all our partners and helpers over the years! We’re already looking forward to year five!

This event is free with a $10 suggested donation.

Our last art-making event of the semester is this Saturday at 1 PM! Come out and make wire-wrapped pendants, rings, and even wire animal figurines!
