Join us for a special Cabildo Family Day centered on Bernardo de Gálvez and America’s 250 Anniversary! Explore replica artifacts related to Spanish colonial Louisiana, participate in hands-on crafts and a musical demonstration with master drummer Wesley Phillips, and learn more about the tall ships docked along the river with free walking tours provided by the Friends of the Cabildo.

Tall ships are sailing into New Orleans for Sail 250, and the Louisiana State Museum is proud to help welcome them. ⛵

To honor those who serve, active-duty military personnel and veterans with valid military ID will receive free admission to all five Louisiana State Museum properties in New Orleans from Monday, May 25, through Sunday, May 31.

The offer applies to the service member or veteran presenting ID.

While you’re downtown for Sail 250, come see the ships, cool off inside, and explore Louisiana history.
