Morgan Lehman Gallery

Morgan Lehman Gallery Contemporary art gallery in the West Cheslea arts district, NYC We can assist with all aspects of art acquisition, installation, and collection management.

Founded by Sally Morgan and Jay Lehman, Morgan Lehman Gallery first opened its doors in New York City in 2005. Since its inception the gallery has been committed to fostering the careers of emerging and mid-career American artists. These artists utilize multidisciplinary practices that range from process-driven abstraction to narrative figuration, and from formalist assemblage to conceptual instal

lation. In 2016 Morgan Lehman Gallery moved to a 1,500 square-foot ground floor space on W. 24th street in the heart of the West Chelsea gallery district. In addition to its represented artists, the gallery collaborates directly on exhibitions and projects with many other artists. We offer extensive art advisory services to curators, art consultants, designers and corporate and private collectors.

Morgan Lehman Gallery is pleased to present the fourth iteration of “Twenty by Sixteen,” a legacy exhibition originally conceived by curator emeritus Geoffrey Young.

The exhibition features two works by more than sixty artists, each measuring exactly 20 × 16 inches. These precise dimensions allowed us to invite a diverse group of artists, extending beyond those typically featured in our exhibition program, and bring together a wide range of perspectives within a shared framework. Conceived as a spirited summer exhibition, “Twenty by Sixteen” also inaugurates Morgan Lehman’s expanded floor plan on the fourth floor of the West Chelsea building.

ON VIEW | “Carly Glovinski: Into the Garden”
Through Saturday, June 6, 2026

“Within the exhibition, there are several large-scale, shaped, wall-based works; an extension of long-standing series in which magnified representations of pressed flowers move between representational painting and sculptural form. From a distance, the works read as botanical specimens rendered with precision; up close, surfaces loosen into washes and gestures of paint.” [Excerpt from press release]

OPENING TONIGHT | 6-8 pm
“Carly Glovinski: Into the Garden”
April 23 - June 6, 2026

We hope you can join us tonight to celebrate the opening of Carly Glovinski’s solo exhibition, “Into the Garden.”

“After a decade of steadily drawing nearer, Carly Glovinski’s third solo exhibition with Morgan Lehman Gallery finds the artist at a precise intersection of studio practice and gardening. “Into the Garden” gathers a variety of new, painting-focused works that grow from Glovinski’s sustained engagement with gardening, where cycles of planting, tending, collecting, and cataloging have become central to the way she thinks about making. The exhibition also marks her return to canvas after nearly two decades, bringing her relationship to traditional painting into focus within a practice that has long moved fluidly between materials and processes.” [Excerpt from press release]
