Mood Room

Mood Room The mood room is a non-commercial gallery concept by Artlink. An Interdisciplinary Artspace

The mood room is a new gallery concept by Artlink, Inc.

that seeks to address the needs of 21st-century artistic practice. More than just a white cube for exhibiting art, the mood room was founded in 2020 at Park Central in midtown Phoenix in order to connect the events and services that Artlink provides to artists while expanding the kinds of support that cultural creatives need in order to grow their personal vision into transformative art experience

s. The aim of the mood room is to promote the arts in every medium by connecting creatives with new exhibition opportunities, special projects, growing patronage, cultural influencers, and the collective resources of arts organizations from across the Valley and beyond. The mood room is part of Artlink’s ART+FORM project. Proposals

Periodically, the mood room will issue a call for arts professionals to submit exhibition proposals that seek to support dialog and diversity in the arts. This will include accepting proposals for exhibits, as well as, educational programming, artist talks, community-centered happenings, music events, spoken word nights, fashion shows, dance performances, open mic evenings, and much more. The mood room was founded to advance awareness about the arts across the largest possible spectrum of interests, mediums, and modes of expression, and we want you to submit exciting proposals for events at the mood room that allow people to encounter the arts in new and innovative formats. Possibilities

The mood room will support artists using all of Artlink’s traditional resources, including providing information on how to find more opportunities in the art scene, how to connect to the Phoenix Artwalk on First and Third Fridays, how to become an Articipant, and how to get involved in special art events throughout the year.

‼️TOMORROW‼️ Join us!!

Age of Agapē in Honor of Mental Health Awareness Month

🗓️ May 24th!
🕔 5:00pm

Age of Agape is an event that aims to bring mental health awareness to the community through the band “Eretz Agape,” whose name translates to “the land of unconditional love.” The event seeks to unite people and foster a deeper understanding of mental and spiritual well-being. We strive to create an environment of acceptance for those struggling with mental health challenges and encourage individuals to enhance their state of consciousness and overall well-being.

Through a combination of speeches and music, we will explore various mental health topics, including mental disorders, brain trauma, drug dependency, and more. Additionally, we will delve into themes such as healing, peace, love, community, meditation, spiritual wellness, codependency, self-empowerment, self-love, and many others.

The event will feature a diverse array of vendors selling food and crafts. The show will commence with a captivating drum circle and conclude with a live band, all in celebration of the mind and spirit.

TOMORROW! Arizona Photography Alliance presents Arizona Photographic History 1864-Today.

Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm

Arizona has a rich history of photographers and photography. We will follow Jeremy Rowe and Richard Laugharn as they lead us through time, presenting an overview of photography from the time Arizona was a territory until the modern times of today.
The first section presented, covers the period of 1864 -
1920. Jeremy will share examples of work from pioneers like, George Rothrock, Frank Hartwell and many others whose photography formats include tintypes, stereographs, cabinet cards and others. The last section will touch on the 19th century, but most of Richard’s discussion will concentrate on the post-World War II era and extend to modern times.
