Great to get back to our Portrait drawing sessions. Our good Artist friend, Gary Nelson posed for us yesterday.. what a great face! We had around an hour and a half for each one. Bistre Conte on paper.

Was able to get some drawing done in a long 3 week stay in the VA hospital. Glad to be slowly recovering...Good to be Alive and feeling better. Anxious to get back to getting some studio work done.

So great to get this award. We all have a few paintings that we do that are pretty special for all sorts of reasons and this one fits that category for me. It took me about a year to get the composition right! I traveled to Mexico around 12 times and really loved the figures and settings that were all over the place! Thanks to Kimball Geiser for the honor of first place with all the wonderful works that were submitted. Very grateful.
