With just 12 clocks to be created from this historic wood—each numbered and signed—this piece is as meaningful as it is beautiful.

We’re honored to share this meaningful opportunity from Nation Ford Land Trust.
Join Nation Ford Land Trust for this year's annual visit to an historic slave cemetery as we learn about and honor those who are buried there. Our program will explore the funerary traditions of enslaved Africans and we will honor the 144 Lost Ancestors. This program will also include an opportunity to speak to the landowners and others who are a part of this fascinating project.

Did you know that Rock Hill played a role in space exploration?
After the tragic Apollo 1 fire in 1967, NASA sought safer, flame-resistant materials for astronauts. In 1969, the Celanese plant on Cherry Road in Rock Hill began developing PBI — a high-performance, fire-resistant fabric used in NASA’s space program.
Astronaut Bob Crippen, pilot of the first Space Shuttle flight in 1981, even wore a suit made from Rock Hill–produced fabric — later sending a note of thanks for helping make space travel safer.

From local innovation to outer space — Rock Hill history truly reaches far beyond Earth.
