HAPPY NATIONAL PENCIL DAY! March 30th commemorates the invention of the "modern pencil" in 1858 when the first Patten was given to Hyman Lipman.
I cant think of many things that are used more and thought about or appreciated less....it sure made a difference in my life with my first drawings in Kindergarten......we played "store" and everyone had a roll as Storekeeper, Stock person, customers, etc,.... but for some reason, I was asked to "draw the money", different $$ amounts, little picture of a president, then we handed them out to the shoppers , I was making counterfeit money at age 5! **First Post of “Warr Art Gallery”Christmas deals. Most people around here have seen my painting of the BB Comer Bridge… the limited edition of only 300 signed and numbered prints are close to being sold out, I have very few left. If anyone is interested in getting one for Christmas, I’m offering a Framed Limited Edition Print , usually $175 for $150 total ( including tax). The overall size 22” x 32” ….. I have these two already in the Gallery

Saw this segment on the mural at the beginning of a short on line travel documentary of Scottsboro, he made some very nice comments about it …. I’ll see if I can find the link for the whole documentary ….he did a great job.

Just delivered the picture of the 5A 2024 Girls State Champions to the Highschool this morning… this is the 6th year that I’ve framed one of these giant 4’ x 8’ team photos…. Congratulations Lady Wildcats…

Beginning tomorrow May 7th -July 17th there will be 31 of my original drawings and paintings on display at the Johnson Center of the Arts in Troy, Al. This is just about every original piece of art that I still own ranging from 1982-2025.
Thursday evening from 5:00pm -7:00pm there will be a reception for myself and fellow artist Stacy Edwards, the Art Center thought our works embodied the theme for “Saints and Southern Sinners”, everyone is welcome to to attend.
This is quite an honor for me, I’ve never had all my original works on display during my 45 years as an artist. Also, everything is for sale at the Showing, but can’t be picked up until July 18th, plrase contact ne if thete is anything you’re interested inor want information on. Looking forward to seeing my friends, past patrons and collectors from the Troy area!
