Scurry County Museum We are the keepers of Scurry County history. History, Art, Natural Science, and other exhibits!

The Scurry County Museum is a family friendly place that Scurry County residents and folks “just passing through” can enjoy visiting. Our beautiful permanent exhibit showcases the history of the region, and our rotating exhibit hosts a wide variety of additional exhibits, art shows and special events.

Trivia Time!!

This beautiful quilt, made by SISD 1st graders in 1985, was recently donated to the museum by Jeannie Rice and is currently on display. They did an awesome job! Come see! UPDATE! We have found homes for the kittens, but if anything changes, I will let you know. Thank you all so much!

We still have these 2 left and we’re at the deadline to have them removed😢. The left and top is a girl, the bottom right is a boy. They are litter box trained and eating dry food, 7 weeks old. I have them here at the museum and I'm here until 5, or can stay after if needed. PLEASE HELP!

Yesterday we hosted all Snyder Independent School District 1st graders and teachers, approximately 130, for their field trip!. What an awesome bunch of students and we have enjoyed having them😀 Looking forward to next year! Thank you so much to our volunteers, Chris Bane, Carmen Timora, Janie Romine, Mary Ezell, and Kathy Huff!
