Lynn Pass Art

Lynn Pass Art This page features the works of Lynn Pass as Lynn Pass Art. Go to www.lynnpass.com Nature inspires me. I also do a lot of work in glass.

I work in oils, acrylics and watercolor to illustrate and reflect my feelings about the places I visit in my travels. I really enjoy lush color and I use a great deal of it in my work. I do photography as well and use various digital means to enhance the images and give them a painterly quality, adding texture and varying colors and values. Sometimes I then hand paint into these digital images as

well. I create fused glass panels, jewelry and usable art. I love the reflective qualities and and transparency of glass and the way I can layer it as I do with paint. if you go to my website (www.lynnpass.com) you will see my work. Thanks for checking out my site, and if you like it, please "Like" it! :)

Back-to-school season is not only for families with students. It changes the rhythm of entire communities.

Schedules tighten. Evenings get shorter. People start thinking about focus, routines, and the spaces where daily life happens.

That makes August a useful time to look at your walls with fresh attention. "Lagoon Annas Hummingbird & Hibiscus" may be the kind of work that helps a room feel more intentional as the season shifts.

It's August, which means the biggest home selling season of the year is starting to wrap, and people are moving house, heading to dorms or just resettling into places they already call home and love.

Strength Hides

This image came from a twisted piece of a tree on Pismo Beach. When you first look at it, it seems at though there is no life in it, but if you look more closely you can see that life is coming back. I thought about how sometimes life is like that. Things might look bleak at times, but we have more strength than we often think or know. I think that the qualities of truth and hope can help us to cope with difficulties in our lives. I wrote this haiku with that in mind. I hope that it can help to give some strength to those who might be facing difficulties.

Quick one: do you decorate around your art, or pick art to match a room you've already designed? No wrong answers, but I'm curious which is more common.

"Great Heron in the Sunshine" tends to work for both camps, which is part of why people keep coming back to it. Where do you land?

I'm seeing a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day today and wanted to join in on the appreciation!

It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Every work of art begins with the same simple act: paying attention.

Artists notice the light, the atmosphere, the emotion, the relationships, and the everyday moments that many of us walk past without a second thought.

"Peach Tulip for Mom" is part of that tradition. Thanks for taking a moment to reflect with me today.

Happy World Photography Day!
