Main St., in downtown Tuscola, Illinois. Independent artists rent space in the gallery. The Vault hosts art-related events and offers a wide range of affordable artwork for sale, including jewelry, painting, ceramics and pottery, art glass, photography, metal art, wood art and more. The gallery even offers a vintage clothing section and a record shop. The Vault is located in a historic former bank

building in downtown Tuscola and gets its name from the huge vault located behind the front counter. Downtown Tuscola is located one-half mile north of U.S. 36 and 1 mile west of Interstate 57. The gallery is 23 miles south of Champaign-Urbana, 23 miles north of Mattoon and Charleston, and 35 miles east of Decatur. We are also only 16 miles from the only Amish settlement in Illinois. We are the small-town gallery with the big-city feel. Come see what we have made, just for you.

Our first monarch butterfly egg of 2026 was found on a flower bud in our Pollinator Garden that’s growing below the gorgeous “Tuscola Starry Night” mural created by Ainslie Heilich. Art comes in all sizes from building size murals to tiny butterfly eggs!
