Nearly 30 years later, these cars finally shared the road again!

What started as months of planning with the incredibly talented turned into a once-in-a-lifetime gathering along the coastline of Big Sur. Every location was intentionally chosen, every detail carefully considered, and the result was a moment that felt as historic as the cars themselves.

Having .garella there with us made the experience even more meaningful. As the one of the original creators behind these vehicles from his time leading Pininfarina’s Special Projects division, Paolo brought the cars’ history to life in a way only he could. Hearing the stories, design decisions, and memories directly from him was something none of us will forget.

A huge thank you to our very own Vince Marconi () for planning and facilitating this truly special experience. We would also like to thank the owner of the Ferrari 456 Venice Estate, , and everyone who helped make this shoot possible!

Special thanks as well to for the incredible support throughout the process, and to coastridersinn and for the wonderful hospitality.

A rare reunion, an unforgettable setting, and a truly special chapter in automotive history. Stay tuned for the full Reel coming soon, courtesy of !

On display here at the Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids is arguably one of the rarest Ferraris ever built: the 1996 Ferrari 456 “Venice Cabriolet.” 🇮🇹🏁🤩

Based on the Ferrari 456 grand tourer, this extraordinary one-off-style creation was commissioned during the 1990s for the Royal Family of Brunei and custom-built by the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina’s special projects division, headed by Paolo Garella. While the standard 456 was already one of Ferrari’s most elegant V12 grand tourers, the Venice Cabriolet took the platform to an entirely different level.

Everything behind the doors was reimagined, transforming the refined front-engine Ferrari coupe into an open-top, coachbuilt masterpiece. Powered by Ferrari’s 5.5-liter V12, the 456 delivered the perfect blend of performance, luxury, and exclusivity. But what makes this car truly special is its rarity. Very few Ferrari 456 Venice models ever produced, with examples built in several body styles for the Brunei collection, including wagons, sedans, and cabriolets. This particular Cabriolet stands as one of the most elusive and fascinating Ferraris of the modern era.

Today, guests can see this remarkable piece of Ferrari history in person here at the Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids, where automotive history meets a mission to give back!

After months of planning and coordination with the incredibly talented , at some truly breathtaking locations he carefully selected in Big Sur, we were able to bring these historic cars back together for the first time in nearly 30 years.

What made this experience even more special was having the original creator, .garella, there with us. During his time leading Pininfarina’s Special Projects division, Paolo helped bring these one-of-a-kind vehicles to life, and hearing him walk us through every design detail and story behind them was something we’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to the owner of the Ferrari 456 Venice Estate and for helping make this iconic photoshoot a reality. And of course, Jordon choosing to capture it all on film made it that much more special.

Also a special thank you to for the incredible support along the way and to and for the hospitality!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this happen. Stay tuned, there’s so much more to come!

Featured across all 4 seasons, it’s best known as the “Hero Car” in Seasons 1 and 2 before being reengineered into the Right-Hand Blind Drive car to create the illusion of driving itself on screen. This ingenious setup allowed David Hasselhoff to seamlessly perform while a stunt driver operated the vehicle from the opposite side. Experience this iconic piece of automotive history up close. Your visit helps support the Marconi Foundation for Kids, join us and be part of something meaningful while enjoying one of television’s most iconic cars!

🇮🇹🏁 The 1992 Ferrari 512 TR took the bold legacy of the Testarossa and sharpened it into a more refined, performance-focused machine. Ferrari didn’t just update the car, they transformed it. With extensive mechanical revisions, improved weight distribution, and a more dialed-in chassis, the 512 TR delivered a noticeably more controlled and engaging driving experience. Its design evolved as well, featuring cleaner lines and subtle aerodynamic improvements that gave it a more modern, purposeful stance. Under the rear decklid sat a 4.9-liter flat-12 producing 421 horsepower, pushing the car from 0–60 mph in around 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed near 195 mph. It remained every bit as dramatic, but with a new level of precision behind the wheel.

Did you know?
• The engine was mounted lower in the chassis to improve center of gravity and high-speed stability
• Larger brakes and revised suspension significantly improved braking performance and cornering confidence
• The interior was redesigned with better ergonomics and a more driver-focused layout
• Weight distribution was improved to approximately 40/60 (front/rear) for better balance
• Featured wider rear track and updated wheels for enhanced grip and stance

Is this the best movie car ever made?! 🤩🎬

This is the screen-used Batmobile from Batman Returns (1992) and arguably one of the most recognizable movie vehicles ever created. Built by legendary Hollywood car builder Carl Casper and his team at Hollywood Productions, this is the #1 “Hero Car” used during filming with Michael Keaton starring as Batman. One of only three Batmobiles constructed for the production of the film, designed by Anton Furst.

Measuring over 23 feet long and built on a custom chassis, the car’s dramatic turbine nose, sweeping fins, and aggressive silhouette were designed to resemble the shape of a bat while matching the dark, gothic atmosphere of director Tim Burton’s vision of Gotham City.

After filming wrapped, the car was placed into storage for decades before eventually being displayed as part of our collection here at the Marconi Automotive Museum, where it remains an iconic centerpiece today!
