Hi Makery Members, As summer settles in, I wanted to take a moment to share a few updates and invite you to spend more time creating with us this season. Summer can get busy quickly, but I hope you’ll carve out space to slow down, make art, and gather with our creative community.

Calling All Artists 📣

The Makery invites artists to submit work for Golden Hour, a summer exhibition celebrating warmth, light, nostalgia, and the fleeting beauty of the season.

From glowing landscapes and vibrant florals to quiet moments of reflection, we welcome artwork that captures the feeling of summer — bold or subtle, joyful or contemplative.

All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, ceramics, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture.

Selected works will be exhibited at The Makery in downtown Wake Forest throughout the summer season.

Cathedral of Flowers by is officially hanging in our gallery. Be sure to stop by and see these pieces. They are stunning. 🤩
This is a series of encaustic fractals that shows the divine order of flowers. The repetition of the image pulls the sacred geometry and the repeating cellular structure of blossoming flowers, stems, and the shading of each petal.
