🎩 A Robber’s Hat? At the Museum?

Well, that's a little odd. But then again, we are talking about the Odd Fellows! 😄

This unusual piece of headwear has quite a story to tell. It wasn't worn during an actual robbery, but it did play a part in a rather dramatic scene!

Who wore it? What was the story? And what does a robber have to do with brotherly love?

You'll have to visit the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History to find out!

Come explore our Odd Fellows exhibit, where unusual artifacts, curious traditions, and a few surprises offer a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Sometimes history is stranger than you might imagine!

The Ghost of Old Bill Spencer Chapter 3

When winter approached in 1922, the people of Warrensburgh weren't about to let Old Bill Spencer face the cold alone.

John J. Archer organized a group of local men to make Bill's little cabin more comfortable, Maurice Ashe offered a wood stove, and the Mohican Camp Fire Girls planned a Christmas dinner.

But who were these people, and what else do we know about them?

In Chapter 3 of Jean Hadden's The Ghost of Old Bill Spencer, we're exploring the people behind the story, with vintage photographs, historical tidbits, and links to learn more.

Come for the ghost story. Stay for the history!
