Since our first visit to Dallas in 2015, Patron has been a guide to understanding the art scene in North Texas. We read it when we’re there, and we read it when we’re not.

An amazing new exhibition at The Warehouse, Dallas!

Curated by Simone Krug, “In Our Image: The Fragile Body in Contemporary Art” brings works from different cultural contexts into conversation. It looks at the vulnerable body as a stage for the self and a reflection of society.

On view through January 30, 2027.

Great to see Marcin and Tom’s work brought into this conversation, alongside such a great group of artists.

She finally said YES!

Harlan Levey Projects is now Levey Kwok.

The name Harlan Levey Projects made sense when I started the project. But from the beginning, Winnie has been a huge part of it. Often, an element of my job has been committing to whatever crazy idea an artist had. Anyone who has worked with us knows that, thanks to Winnie, we always found a way to make it happen. For years I told her that the project should carry both our names, and I couldn’t be prouder that as of today it does.

Now on view: Orso Caël’s work “Slumber” in “Inner Mornings, or Forms of Counterculture” at Deichtorhallen Hamburg.

Bringing together works from the Falckenberg Collection, the FRAC des Pays de la Loire, and the Musée d’arts de Nantes, the exhibition explores counterculture as a transformative force that continues to shape artistic practices today. Through photography and lens-based works, it examines alternative histories, shifting power structures, and strategies of resistance and imagination.

The exhibition was initiated and curated by Emilie Houssa in collaboration with Dirk Luckow and Goesta Diercks.

Presented by dialogue.gallery × Freie Musikschule Basel at Gellertgut Park as part of the Art Basel VIP Programme, SIBYLLA brings together artists around the figure of the sibyl - both scientist and oracle.

Taking its name from Maria Sibylla Merian, the pioneering botanist whose life and work are closely connected to Basel, the exhibition explores the intersections of knowledge, intuition, observation, and imagination.

Happy to share some images from a warm afternoon with Orso Caël and Dirk Snauwaert (WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels), part of our own take on Chambres d’Amis, hosted in a private home in Brussels. Art encountered through conversation, curiosity, and hospitality.

Orso’s work is currently on view at Deichtorhallen Hamburg and FRAC Pays de la Loire, with presentations coming at KANAL - Centre Pompidou and WIELS’ Affiliate program next year.

The series continues in Hong Kong, Dallas, Cleveland and beyond.

FOCUS | Sheida Soleimani & The Congress of the Birds

A glimpse into The Congress of the Birds, Sheida Soleimani’s wildlife rehabilitation initiative. The masked feeder in the video prevents birds from imprinting on humans, preserving their ability to return to the wild. Birds also appear throughout “Flyways”, on view now at the gallery. These subjects are never staged, always wild. Patience and experience shape the rest as across Soleimani’s work, care, survival, and resistance are deeply intertwined.

We’re joining Downtown Brussels Art this Saturday, May 30, from 11:00-18:00. Grab a map and explore all participating spaces.
