Lima — one of The Goodman Studio’s most recognizable forms.

Standing over 1 metre tall, each Lima vessel stretches upward with an elongated silhouette that feels somewhere between botanical growth and gesture. Satin-finished surfaces soften the colour and diffuse the light, giving the pieces a quiet glow that shifts throughout the day.

Despite their scale, the forms maintain a sense of lightness and movement—leaning, curving, and reaching upward as though caught mid-motion.

Handblown and handcrafted in our Toronto studio.

From colour bars to Topo bowls 💧➡️🩵

One of the best parts of working with glass is seeing raw material turn into something completely different. These colour bars might not look like much at first, but once they’re melted, shaped, and satin finished, they become the soft glowing forms of our Topo bowls.

Somewhere between chemistry, cooking, and magic.

Tools, fragments, textures, and experiments.

Glassmaking is built from countless small processes—cutting, grinding, casting, polishing, assembling—each one leaving behind its own traces and artifacts. These moments in the studio often feel as sculptural as the finished works themselves.

Here, cast glass samples catch the light alongside the tools and materials used to shape them.

Sagoma

A collection of sculptural vessels defined by silhouette, colour, and balance. Each form is handblown and satin-finished to soften the way light moves across the surface, giving the pieces a quiet glow and almost weightless presence.

Playful yet architectural, the Sagoma series explores proportion through elongated necks, rounded volumes, and shifting profiles that change from every angle. Displayed together, the forms begin to feel almost conversational—each piece carrying its own distinct posture and personality.

New York City — we’re coming.

The Goodman Studio will be presenting in Wanted at ICFF with Soft Structure, an all female and Canadian booth.
May 17–19.

Composed of illuminated sculptural forms. Installed as a wall composition, the work shifts between lighting, sculpture, and architecture—casting soft gradients of light that transform the surrounding space.

We’re excited to share Geo Lights in NYC alongside an incredible group of designers and studios.

See you at ICFF.

The response to our Cascade and Horizon chandeliers has been incredible.

These pieces continue to find homes in interiors that value atmosphere, materiality, and sculptural presence. Designed to transform light into something immersive, each chandelier balances architectural structure with the fluid optical qualities of handblown glass.
Handcrafted in our Toronto studio, every chandelier is made to order and can be tailored to suit the scale and character of its environment.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, specified, collected, and shared these works with us. More to come.

There are so many incredible processes when working with glass, we can't pick one and when we need thick glass, we cast it.
Aiden (one of our artisans), is pouring hot glass into a mold made out of graphite.
He uses speed, momentum, and timing to get the perfect pour every time.
