January 28: European Data Protection Day. Your smartphone can reveal location, movement patterns, social connections, and habits - often without you actively noticing. When connectivity is essential for safety, orientation, and survival, questions of data protection become particularly critical.

For people who have been displaced or are fleeing, smartphones are important tools. At the same time, they can also make people vulnerable to tracking and unwanted access to personal data.

For , we developed animations and illustrations for their online project “Informed and monitored – with the smartphone on the move”, published across web, Instagram, and YouTube.

Alcohol once made water safer to drink than water itself.
That may be one reason why it became so deeply embedded in human culture and why we still raise a glass to mark special moments - like New Year’s Eve.

We created the animations for the arte 42 episode 'Does our society need alcohol?', exploring why alcohol connects us, shapes rituals and can just as easily destroy them.

Watch the full episode on .tv Mediathek (link in bio).

Have a good New Year’s Eve! And take care 🥂

The brain’s theoretical storage capacity is huge! According to a widely cited estimate, if the brain stored memories like a computer stores files, its capacity might be roughly 2.5 petabytes, enough to hold something like three million hours of television.

We created the animations for the ARD documentary „Mein Körper. Mein Gedächtnis. – Wie wir es verbessern können“, which explores questions like: How can we improve our memory or and make it more efficient? How can we keep it healthy and what happens when it fails us?

Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the focus is on gender-based violence, a reality that still receives far less public attention than the scale of the problem suggests.

It affects the everyday life for many, too often in ways that go unnoticed. By marking this day, we aim to address the issue clearly and support those working toward safer conditions for women and girls worldwide.

For a few years now, we have been creating animations for “42 – The Answer to Almost Everything” that work in a hybrid form: animated elements meet live-action footage.

In this .tv series, profound questions about life and the universe are met with scientific insight and witty humor. Narrated by brilliant thinkers and well-known voices like Nora Tschirner or Sibel Kekilli, the show is seeking answers to life, the universe, and everything in between.

In episode no. 37, “Will We Live Forever?”, we follow scientists around the world who are exploring how to extend human life. In Singapore, Andrea Maier tests existing drugs that could slow aging, while Claudia Waskow studies “zombie cells” - old cells that cause damage to their surroundings. Experiments in mice show that clearing these cells can extend lifespan, but for humans, the key will be a mix of science and lifestyle to extend life and stay healthy along the way.

Although this episode is no longer available online, you can discover more fascinating “42” stories on .tv (link in bio). And stay tuned, we will be sharing more of our work from the series soon!
