📖1 pm: Look here – Poetry in Braille (in German)
As part of the 27th Poetry Festival, blind and sighted poets read from the newly published anthology "Seht her – Poesie in Braille” (Look here – Poetry in Braille). An immersive experience into another, sensory world with Marco Sagurna, Clara Cosima Wolff, and Salean A. Maiwald. In cooperation with the Haus für Poesie.

Slavs and Tatars ist ein international renommiertes Künstlerkollektiv, das sich in ihrer Arbeit einer Region östlich der ehemaligen Berliner Mauer und westlich der Chinesischen Mauer, bekannt als Eurasien, widmet. Ihre Skulptur „Molla Nasreddin the antimodern“ (2021) wird in der Ausstellung »Seeing Words, Reading Images« gezeigt.

Einweihung der neuen SculpturePopulaire: Nevin Aladağs „Public Resonator“

Wir laden herzlich zur Einweihung der neuen temporären Außenskulptur vor dem PalaisPopulaire ein. Nevin Aladağs „Public Resonator“ (2023) ist eine Skulptur als Klangkörper, die von Besucher*innen bespielt werden kann. Ihre Elemente – darunter Trommeln, Klangstäbe und Musiksaiten – fungieren als Schlaginstrumente und laden jeden ein, dem Klangkörper Musik zu entlocken und Resonanz zu erzeugen.

Am Eröffnungsabend werden Musiker*innen die Skulptur aktivieren. Die Künstlerin wird anwesend sein.

We warmly invite you to the inauguration of the new temporary outdoor sculpture in front of the PalaisPopulaire. Nevin Aladağ's "Public Resonator" (2023) is a sculpture as a sound body that can be played by visitors. Its elements – including drums, sound bars, and music strings – function as percussion instruments and invite everyone to elicit music from the sound body and create resonance.

On the opening evening, musicians will activate the sculpture. The artist will be present.

Just as form and content are intricately intertwined in the artworks of the exhibition »Seeing Words, Reading Images,« the relationship between text and form often plays a central role in literature as well.

In keeping with this, Katharina von Uslar and Edgar Rai (bookstore ) will present literary pieces in which form and content are intertwined in particularly striking ways: Ruth Herzberg “Frequenzen” (2026), Res Sigusch “Wesentliche Bedürfnisse” (2024), Siri Hustvedt “Die gleißende Welt” (engl. “The Blazing World”) (2014), and Andreas Schröder “Letzter Akt” (2026). Wir laden zu einem Blick auf die Ergebnisse des 3-tägigen Tanzworkshops „POWER“ mit kurze Bewegungsstudien, Übungen und Gesprächsimpulse aus dem gemeinsamen Prozess ein:

Die Choreografinnen Patricia Woltmann (künstlerische Leitung) und Viviana Defazio geben gemeinsam mit den Teilnehmenden einen Einblick in ihre künstlerische Recherche zu Resonanz, Verbindung und kollektiver Bewegung im Raum. In drei intensiven Workshops wurden über Tanzimprovisation und somatische Praktiken die Wechselwirkungen innerhalb einer Gruppe erforscht: Wie beeinflussen sich Bewegungen gegenseitig? Wie entstehen gemeinsame Dynamiken und ein kollektiver Bewegungsfluss?

How do shared dynamics and a collective flow of movement emerge?

Schöne Feiertage!

Habt ihr schon Pläne? Verbindet die Ostergeschenkesuche oder Spaziergänge doch mit einem Besuch bei uns! Unsere aktuelle Ausstellung »Seeing Words, Reading Images« sowie die Filmreihe »OnView - Power« sind auch über die Feiertage regulär von 11 bis 18 Uhr geöffnet.

Die Osterglocken vor dem PalaisPopulaire blühen noch – ein herrlicher Platz, um sich diese anzuschauen ist unsere Terrasse, bei Regen geht es auch von drinnen. Das Café LePopulaire und der Museumsshop freuen sich auf euch 😊

PPS: Unsere SculpturePopulaire von Yinka Shonibare ist nur noch eine Woche zu sehen! Ende April kommt eine neue temporäre Außenskulptur. Wer hat schon entdeckt, was es sein wird? 😉

The daffodils in front of the PalaisPopulaire are still in bloom – our terrace is a wonderful place to view them, and if it rains, you can also see them from inside. The LePopulaire Café and the museum shop are looking forward to welcome you 😊

PPS: Our SculpturePopulaire by Yinka Shonibare is only on display for one more week! A new temporary outdoor sculpture will arrive at the end of April. Has anyone figured out what it is yet? 😉
