The new Aire Valley Arts 'Interpret a Poem' exhibition continues. Here's Judy Sale's work 'Fire and Ice,' Acrylic, gold leaf, collage and dried twigs on canvas. 2025, 84 x 60cms with it's accompanying Poem:

Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire,
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost

One of my favourite places for spotting venerable trees is Studely Royal Park which adjoins Fountains Abbey. This one is clearly providing welcome shade for red deer. Another work in my current show at th Bingley Gallery: ds705 From Tiny Acorns. Oak Tree, Fountains Abbey.40x30in 2024 £620lr
