Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum A very welcoming, small dog friendly, motor museum in the heart of Wiltshire. Exhibiting 100+ historic, cars, motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles.

We are a small, friendly motor museum situated in the heart of Wiltshire. The majority of our 100+ exhibits are cars from the 1920’s onwards. We also have a collection of motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles. You can also see interesting motoring memorabilia, our Jack Spittle Model Lorry Collection and a reconstructed 1930’s style garage complete with vehicles. We currently have a very special Williams FW10 Formula 1 car on display. The Museum has plenty of parking for visitors and a range of activities for our younger visitors. A selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks are available to purchase in our reception together with a seating area. There is wheelchair access to the museum and toilets. We are small dog friendly. Please keep your dogs on a lead at all time. Please clean up after your dog.

🚗 Another Charming New Arrival Has Rolled Into the Museum! 🚗

We're delighted to welcome this beautiful 1936 Fiat Topolino 500cc to our collection.

This original right-hand drive, 4-speed manual example proudly retains its unique and original registration number CAD 731. Generously donated to the museum, the car has been cherished by its owner since 1979 and has recently undergone a meticulous restoration, completed in May 2025.

A wonderful piece of motoring history, this iconic little Fiat is now on display alongside several other recent arrivals.

✨ ANOTHER NEW PERMANENT EXHIBIT! ✨

We are thrilled to welcome another extraordinary vehicle to the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum collection.

Donated to the museum in August, this stunning 1958 Mk II Ford Consul Highline 1700cc has remained with the same family for nearly six decades. Maintained to an exceptional standard and often described as looking as though it has "just left the production line", it has collected numerous Best in Show awards throughout its life.

The former owners cared deeply about the future of the vehicle and wished for it to be preserved and enjoyed by the public rather than sold. We are incredibly proud and honoured that they chose Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum to become its permanent home.

The car also has a unique connection with musical history, having featured in the biographical rock documentary Don't Forget Me: The Eddie Cochran Story, released in cinemas 11th September 2026, celebrating the life and legacy of rock and roll legend Eddie Cochran, whose memory is still commemorated locally at the memorial on Lowden Hill in Chippenham.

We look forward to sharing this incredible vehicle with visitors for many years to come.
