Looking forward to our new exhibition opening next week.

PETER CEREDIG-EVANS

Peter Ceredig-Evans is a British painter now living on the Gold Coast of Australia. He studied Fine Art at Bath Spa University and spent his formative years in Cornwall. Some years ago after moving to Australia, his work ineveitbly developed into the exploration of his new environment, especially of the coast. The body of paintings in this exhibition hold an eloquent and sensitive converstation between the visual differences and similarities of his new home and his homeland of southwest England; of new experiences and of older memories.

This Shadow series of paintings by Charlotte Sorapure is incredibly enthralling and has really captured the imaginations of visitors to our current exhibition. This use of shadow is a very unique and successful way of adding an extra dynamic and sense of movement to enticing compositions of the garden at dusk.

Mike Service started painting lilac still life studies last year, at our suggestion, as a response to Virginia Woolf’s novel ‘Mrs Dalloway’. The series was incredibly popular and the artist has proclaimed this specific painting as perhaps his favourite still life that he has completed to date! Currently available in our latest exhibition this month.
