Limited participation for WK640 in today's Open Cockpit day at YAM; a lot of people were asking about her today, so I hastily got one of her panels out to form her own "mini display".

One of those days where jobs have snowballed. An innocent little reshuffle of our storage container meant there was no longer room for 640's canopy to be stored in there safely. Also, outside storage was doing her no favours, especially as her tarp covers have been reduced to shreds over winter. John is itching to start mending her, so we thought we may as well fetch her (and her lid) indoors!
She's certainly something different to show, with a story to tell. Visitors today liked her!

New front end for 640! We are at Newark Air Museum's Cockpitfest with a display of our YAM projects, including of course WK640. In need of repair (just like 640 herself!) but too good a bargain to pass up was this engine cowl front section.
Nice to have obtained another component for the old girl!

Despite the ferocious winds on Friday, WK640 stayed put and suffered no ill effects. Her cover blew off leaving her in a state of undress, but other than that the aircraft is fine and we have now re-covered her.

We have the beginnings of a frame/jig to mount WK640 on!
