MILITARY VEHICLE SHOW - 30TH AUGUST
A date for the diary - Sunday August the 30th will see our Military Vehicle Show here at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington. A great range of military hardware, from the smallest to the biggest, against the backdrop of our aircraft collection. Exhibitors will be able to camp over the night before.

COLD WAR WHEELS - WITH ADDED MINIC MOTORWAYS!
Cold War Wheels, our annual celebration of cars and bikes from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, is on Fathers Day, June 21st. In addition to the cars and bikes (and buses) booked in, there will be a display of a classic 1960s Minic Motorways layout - a hybrid of slot cars and model railways. Cold War era nostalgia at its finest!

THUNDER DAY 2026 - GET READY TO FEEL THE EARTH MOVE!
Thunder Day takes place on the 7th of June, with engine runs of a number of our aircraft. The full list is still being finalised but is likely to include the Victor, Ni**od, Jet Provost, Dakota and other props. BADGE OF HONOUR
We've updated the logo for the Yorkshire Air Museum Fire Service with a design based on the wartime Auxiliary Fire Service badge. It's already been applied to the red Pathfinder and will be appearing in various places around the Museum, including stickers!

This is an incredible story. 607 Squadron is now based up the road from us at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire.

His body was found still in the pilot's seat of his Hurricane aircraft in 2022, 82 years after his plane went down over northern France.

HALF TERM AT YORKSHIRE AIR MUSEUM...
This half term there's plenty on offer for the whole family, here at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington. As well as our 60-strong collection of aircraft and vehicles, we've got displays and exhibitions, a great cafe, playground, shop and wide open spaces. Standard admission tickets are valid for 12 months - you can come back as many times re you like in a year.
