Explore 'Weaving for Wellbeing' from today until Saturday 24 October.

'Weaving for Wellbeing' is a textile exhibition of work created in partnership with The Comfrey Project.

From September 2025 to September 2026, working with artists Savannah Rios-Wills and Saya Naruse, the women embarked on creative activities, skills sharing, storytelling, nature walks and gardening.

From this the women have created a quilt, flatweave, cyanotypes, willow baskets, cordage and other artwork which are on display in the exhibition.

Stripes was the theme of the week at yesterday's Crafty Kids.

Pre-schoolers got hands on with paper weaving, collage and paint.

Crafty Kids is for 2-5 year olds to get creative and discover the gallery in a fun and relaxed session.

Our Recovery Connections group worked with artists, Jeanette Telfer and Ella Scott, to create slab built boxes. The project was part of 'A Celebration of Dry Run', a glass and ceramic exhibition earlier this year.

Recovery Connections supports people in Gateshead in their recovery journey. The group take part in creative activities and display their work in the gallery as part of their recovery programme.
