The British Motor Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of historic British Cars; it boasts over 400 cars which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras. The Museum building is a spectacular piece of architecture with an art deco design, whilst the Collections Centre building is a modern contrast. Together they stand proudly in a beautifully landscaped setting of 65 acres, which rolls out onto the Warwickshire countryside. THE MUSEUM STORY

The Museum opened in 1993 as the amalgamation of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust’s preserved car collection. The Trust decided that the car collection and artefacts were outgrowing its then two locations, Studley in Warwickshire and a museum in Syon Park in London. A dedicated purpose-built residence was needed to give the collection pride of place and open for public viewing. It was the Trust’s mission to keep the memory of the British motor industry alive and to tell its story to all, starting from the beginning of the 20th Century to present day. So a building was designed that not only housed the cars and its extensive motoring archive, but also had educational and conference facilities thus ensuring its sustainability. The Heritage Motor Centre, as it was first known, opened in May 1993.

We’re excited to welcome Hospital Records to Women in Games & Gears on 15 November, bringing along two of their standout female DJs ready to electrify the event.

Gabriella Bongo, a writer, producer, and DJ from South London, weaves her passion for soulful drum & bass with a broad tapestry of influences. Starting on GarageBand at age 9, she taught herself piano and later graduated from ICMP London's sound engineering program. Her music centres on authentic, lived experience, songwriting, and emotional connection. Since her debut single in 2020, Bongo has become known for making vocalists from any genre shine within her D&B productions. With her March 2025 signing to Hospital Records, multiple BBC Radio 1 guest mixes, and a wave of exciting collaborations, including a place on the Forza Horizon 6 soundtrack, Gabriella Bongo stands as a proud torchbearer for the next generation of drum & bass artists.

Bluck is another driving force in London’s new wave of drum & bass, making her mark on the city and beyond. She has lit up iconic venues like Steelyard, Corsica Studios, and O2 Academy Leeds, and shared the stage with legends such as Chase & Status, Andy C, and Shy FX. Her dynamic sets, rooted in rolling jungle, blend old-school weight with a sharp modern edge, a signature sound that really makes an impression. Offstage, Bluck captivates an ever-growing online audience with content that dives into the neuroscience and psychology behind the rave experience.

We are pleased to announce that Lauren Kaye will be attending Women in Games & Gears at the British Motor Museum on 15 November!

Lauren Kaye is an award winning games campaigner who has spent 4 years working in the games charity sector, with extensive experience creating video game content. Her main focus is creating content celebrating and empowering minorities in the gaming industry, which makes her a perfect fit for this event.

She's currently working as an Accounts Manager for Swipe Right and has previously hosted and taken part in panels for brands such as Google, King, and GINX TV. In her capacity as a presenter, she has been featured on many prominent platforms, including Twitch and BAFTA, and has been on stage alongside many leading lights from within the world of gaming. She will be showcasing her knowledgeable, approachable style on the day as host of the Women of Forza Horizon 6 panel, talking to some of the amazing women behind this landmark release.

Turn your volume up for a taste of the track at our final Gaydon Gathering of the year!

To close out the year's Gatherings, we fired up this 2021 Aston Martin Vantage FIA F1 Safety Car!

Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 527bhp, this very car helped keep Formula 1 drivers safe during races between 2021 and 2023. It sounds pretty good, too.

What a way to round off another fantastic season of Gaydon Gatherings! Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the year. 👏

Georgina, one of our current Family Activities Assistants, is here to tell us about her experience in the role:

"Working at the Museum has taught me so much about the workplace. Combined with an incredible supportive team it has been the perfect place for me to start my career!

When I first joined I was a little shy and quiet, but now I have a lot of confidence and even help train new staff. This increase in my confidence was instrumental in setting me up as I started university.

Along the way, I have developed valuable skills, including communication, teamwork, and organisation skills, all of which support me in my daily work and will help me in the future.

I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the team at the British Motor Museum and couldn't recommend it enough as a great gateway to enter the working world!"

ICYMI, we’ll be working with SpecialEffect and Playground Games on 18 October to show some of the ways SpecialEffect is making gaming accessible to all! Stop by the Forza Horizon 6: The Experience exhibition to experience Playground Games' gaming simulator rigs and SpecialEffect’s accessible gaming platforms, including their Eye Gaze technology to control the game with just your eye movements!
