The British Motor Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of historic British Cars; it boasts over 400 cars which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras. The Museum building is a spectacular piece of architecture with an art deco design, whilst the Collections Centre building is a modern contrast. Together they stand proudly in a beautifully landscaped setting of 65 acres, which rolls

out onto the Warwickshire countryside. THE MUSEUM STORY

The Museum opened in 1993 as the amalgamation of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust’s preserved car collection. The Trust decided that the car collection and artefacts were outgrowing its then two locations, Studley in Warwickshire and a museum in Syon Park in London. A dedicated purpose-built residence was needed to give the collection pride of place and open for public viewing. It was the Trust’s mission to keep the memory of the British motor industry alive and to tell its story to all, starting from the beginning of the 20th Century to present day. So a building was designed that not only housed the cars and its extensive motoring archive, but also had educational and conference facilities thus ensuring its sustainability. The Heritage Motor Centre, as it was first known, opened in May 1993.

We have a small number of spaces available for our Home Educators STEM Careers Day on 19 June at the British Motor Museum alongside our headline partners Playground Games - creators of the award‑winning Forza Horizon series.

Tank has officially landed at the British Motor Museum for May Half-Term! 🎈

The mascot of Forza Horizon 6 has been exploring the collections, and he’s brought along some friends… Can you find all the cheeky Tanks hiding amongst the cars in the Museum?

Mark their locations as you go on your Forza Horizon Activity Sheet, alongside a range of puzzles to sharpen your skills for the track. Once you’ve found them all, collect your Tank pin badge or sticker at the Family Activity Station.

Up for another challenge? Collect your Tank Passport, and set out beyond the exhibition in search of cars from Forza Horizon 6. You can collect a unique stamp for each one you find, based on designs from the game!

These activities, and more, will be available throughout the Half-Term holidays! Learn more and book your tickets on our website!

That’s a wrap! Forza Horizon 6: The Experience is officially OPEN!

We celebrated with an action-packed day filled with incredible activities and experiences.

A big thank you to everyone who made this day possible, including our special VIP guest Sung Kang, Tessa Whittock and her drift team, our brilliant vehicle exhibitors, and, of course, Playground Games, our partner in this journey.

The Forza Horizon 6: The Experience launch event is now officially SOLD OUT! 📢

We’re thrilled by the incredible response. To keep things running smoothly, entry on the day will be limited to those who already hold event tickets. This means that individuals and annual pass holders who haven’t booked won’t be able to attend the launch event.

But good news, the fun is only just beginning…

The full exhibition runs all the way until the end of November, giving you loads of time to dive into the world of Forza Horizon, explore the experience, and get up close to real-life cars from the game 🎮✨

And that’s not all. We’ve got plenty more exciting moments lined up throughout the summer and autumn. Plus, for all the wristband collectors out there, we’ll be releasing new wristbands every month, so keep your eyes peeled on our socials 👀

Our next Forza Horizon Fact File is small, but very mighty - the Peel P50!

The smallest production car ever made, this tiny titan has one seat, one door and no reverse gear. If you wanted to turn it around, you needed to use a handle on the back to turn it by hand! The Peel is not to be underestimated though, offering “car comfort, moped costs”, making it a cult classic among car fans.

Originally built on the Isle of Man, the P50’s “ap-Peel” has endured thanks to a revival in 2010, which is built in Nottinghamshire to this day!

You can see the Peel P50 in person, along with a huge range of vehicles from the new game in Forza Horizon 6: The Experience, opening on 23 May at the British Motor Museum! And if you're lucky and a real fan of the game, you might find it has a little surprise in store for you…

Forza Horizon 6: The Experience arrives in ONE WEEK! Keep an eye on our socials in the run up to opening day as we introduce some of the incredible vehicles making up this exciting new exhibition!

Our first Forza Horizon Fact File is a modern all-terrain classic - the Polaris RZR!

This Launch Edition SxS doesn’t just turn heads, it snaps them around. At its heart sits a 2-litre Prostar Fury engine that throws out a fierce 225 horsepower, giving this machine the kind of attitude you feel on another level. Switch between Sport, Race and Rock modes and it transforms from a trail bruiser to a full-send no-holds-barred rocket in a matter of seconds.

The stance of this little tornado is all muscle and intent, with bold accents that make it look ready for deployment, which isn’t actually that far from the truth. Camouflaged versions from Polaris have been trusted by the American military, the FBI and elite units across the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and UK Special Forces.

Under the numbers, it’s just as wild; a four cylinder 1997cc engine, a top speed of 90mph, 225 horses on tap and a 0-62 time of 5.1 seconds. In a machine this raw, those figures feel even faster.

The 2025 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultimate is here at the British Motor Museum as one of the many stars of Forza Horizon 6: The Experience - the ultimate exhibition for gamers and petrolheads alike.

The soundtrack is coming to life! 🔊🔊

We're thrilled to announce that Hospital Records will be providing the music for the Forza Horizon 6: The Experience launch event on 23 May. Featuring a live DJ set from Whiney , an artist whose music is woven into the DNA of the Forza Horizon series, including FH6 itself.

If you haven't heard him, the game's a good place to start.
