Kestle Barton

Kestle Barton Rural Centre for Contemporary Arts: gallery and gardens situated on The Lizard, Cornwall in an area Our first show begins April 12th 2014.

Kestle Barton is an ancient Cornish farmstead situated above the Helford River. Over a period of five years the farm buildings were carefully restored and converted into a gallery and holiday cottages. The core purpose of the project is to provide a centre for the arts in a beautiful rural setting, finding a new use for old buildings to welcome the local community and visitors alike. The exhibitio

n season runs from spring to autumn, with each show also offering a programme of associated events and workshops. Opening hours are 10:30-17:00 Tues-Sunday. The farm itself continues its ancient role of food production – beef, orchards and a new walnut nuttery – managed in a benign, organic system to allow the rich and varied wildlife a full place within its agricultural purpose. Further information on our four beautiful holiday cottages may be found on our agents website www.forevercornwall.co.uk
