Meet Ferox, the Roman dog brought to life at Jewry Wall Museum. Look out for his paw print tile , a small but fascinating reminder that dogs have been part of everyday life in Leicester for thousands of years. 🐶

And now, dogs are taking centre stage once again!

A Dog’s Life is a new exhibition at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, celebrating our enduring bond with our canine companions. Featuring work by artists, designers, illustrators and photographers from around the world, the family-friendly exhibition explores the many ways dogs have inspired art and become part of our lives.

Whether you’re a seasoned metal detectorist or you’ve uncovered something unexpected in your garden, bring along your archaeological finds for our local Finds Liaison Officer to take a look at.

Objects made from metal, stone or ceramic can be brought in for help with identification and to discover more about their history.
