Sue Cunningham will be holding an exhibition of her Shropshire Landscapes on Friday 27th March at 7pm, with wine and nibbles at the Linden Tree. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the work.

Sue Cunningham is a landscape and still life painter based in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. Years of walking and cycling through this diverse landscape inspire her work, from shifting skies and tree forms to changing seasons and skylines. Working primarily in oils, Sue enjoys exploring bold colour, texture and composition, from expressive landscapes to carefully arranged still life and experimental abstract pieces.

Get to know the artist. Sandy Densem is a mixed media artist, who works mainly in acrylics, incoporating layers of collage and print to build up the painting surface, and create a sense of depth and history in the work. Her inspiration comes from the world around her.

Get to know the artists. Rob Leckey was a Primary School Headteacher who following retirement spends his time seeking subjects for his work that can be turned into paintings in his studio. He has been passionate about painting throughout his life. He primarily works with acrylic paint and ink, collage and mixed media. He has exhibited, sold and recieved awards in all the local Shropshire exhibitions and Galleries, The Royal Society of British Arts, The Royal Institute Annual Exhibition and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

Get to know your artists. Sarah Hill was born near Bath and attained a BA Honours Degree in Three-Dimensional-Design in 1986 from Bristol Polytechnic aswell as studying Applied Arts at NEWI North Wales. She is based in Wem and crates glass landscapes using an algamation of transparent, hand made streky glass, sheet glass, frits and powders with each piece usually having several firings, cold worked and often sand-blasted to remove the shiny aspect of glass.

Get to know your artists. Penelope Timmis has painted for her entire life and has held numerous solo exhibitions. She lives in a converted chapel in the Shropshire Hills. She is well known for her "Fowl","Flowers" and "Land & Seascape" paintings, in her own very distinctive style. Having studied at the Frobel Institute in Roehampton and in Shrewsbury, she is a prolific artist and exhibits internationally. Colour, movement and life are the key elements of Penelope's work. She is a member of The Society of Women Artist and Fellow of the Birmingham Society of Artists and she achieved a number of awards.
