Ever wanted the ground to swallow you up?

It’s Reid Aitken’s first day of high school, and after an embarrassing incident becomes the stuff of playground legend known only as “The Creeping Snake”, he finds himself at the centre of the cruellest joke in school.

Suddenly, the challenge isn’t how to disappear...it’s how to survive.

Fast-paced, funny, and painfully true, CRINGE is a powerful story about friendship, resilience, and navigating the minefield of growing up.

“A powerful, entertaining piece from one of Scotland’s finest contemporary writers for young audiences.”

Catch PERFECT DEAD GIRLS at Paisley Arts Centre before they head to NYC! 🗽

In a purgatory plastered with graffiti, glitter, and teenage angst, two girls find themselves trapped after their sudden death, only to discover they are not alone. Something is watching, judging, and deciding who gets to leave and who gets left behind.

Blending fractured memories, music, supernatural suspense, and Y2K nostalgia, PERFECT DEAD GIRLS is a haunting, high-energy journey through friendship, rivalry, and the lengths we'll go to for a second chance.

Don't miss your chance to see it at Paisley Arts Centre before it takes the stage in New York City.

📚🌊 Something special has arrived at Paisley Central Library…

We are proud to be displaying a signed copy of Sir David Attenborough’s Ocean, gifted by The Reading Agency to celebrate Sir David’s 100th birthday. 🎉

Thanks to our library assistant Chelsea-Anne, we were one of just 100 libraries across the UK to receive a copy.

You can see the book on display on the ground floor, and while you are there you can add to our ocean themed display by colouring in your own paper fish 🐟

Pop in and take a look 💙
