FREE - fun and very rewarding. Read on!

We’re looking for volunteers to join our small team at Penicuik Papermaking Heritage Museum, part of Penicuik Community Development Trust, registered charity (SC037990). We’re the only papermaking museum in Scotland and we’re found at No. 1 Bridge Street, Penicuik, EH26 8LL. You can find out more on our website (www.penicuikcdt.co.uk).
As a volunteer, you’ll learn about our displays and be able to guide visitors around our small museum. You’ll also learn how to make paper and share your skills with others. Most of all, you’ll experience personal satisfaction from your interactions with our visitors. Last year we had over 500 of them!.
If you’re interested in joining us, please contact us by email at [email protected] or come and visit us at our museum one Saturday afternoon between 1.00 and 1.30 pm for a chat and have a look around.
Penicuik was to papermaking as Speyside is to whisky or Sheffield was to steel - it’s a heritage worth supporting.
