We are happy to have been chosen to sell the deluxe first edition of the Enhanced 1945 Vintage Map of the Pentland Hills- a beautifully restored piece of local history, brought back to life for today.
Carefully enhanced from an original Bartholemew’s 1945 map this captures the landscape, character and heritage of the Pentlands in stunning detail. The shape of the hills has been cleverly dramatised with the addition of contemporary hill shading. Whether you’re a walker, history enthusiast or simply love the local area, this is a unique way to connect with the hills we all know and love. It would certainly make a perfect gift too.
This map is part of a community-focused project. Designed and printed locally, a good portion of every sale goes directly to support the conservation projects of the Friends of the Pentlands charity, helping to protect and enhance hills for future generations.
