Meet Claire Davies - Glazycow Ceramics at the Heather Christie Gallery at The Wooden Mouse, Rochester.

Claire’s ceramics are hand made at her studio in Biddenden, Kent. Working mainly with porcelain and white stoneware she creates handbuilt ceramics using a variety of different traditional techniques to achieve shapes and forms. She prefers to work with white clay and porcelain as it shows the colours and delicate impressions within her work.

Claire’s garden and the surrounding countryside provide the flowers and fauna she uses for her work. The lace and vintage textiles were left to her in her grandmother’s needlework and textile box.

Handling clay is therapeutic, challenging and rewarding so provides her with perfect mindfulness.

Come and see Richard Pool Creamics at the Heather Christie Gallery, Rochester, The wooden Mouse
