Sproson Gallery St Andrews Art gallery in St Andrews featuring original artwork, prints, cards and sculpture from an exceptional trove of award-winning local and national artists.

We refreshed the walls of the gallery, featuring sweeping seascapes of the inimitable Scottish coastline, including the magnificent Isles of Iona and Tiree, as a reminder of the brighter, sunnier, summer days. The artworks are by the following artists: Mark Holden and Dronma.

Our current exhibition is inspired by the subtle changes in the weather. Whether a cool breeze, longer evening hours or tawny leaves scuttling to the ground, each one represents the transitional period between summer and autumn.

The gallery is open from Tuesday until Saturday, between 10:00 and 17:00.

Our ongoing exhibition, ‘St Andrews — New Paintings by Peter Jones’, is on display until 30th of June.
Each composition is painted in situ, and offers a fresh perspective of St Andrews. Whether the 600 year-old oak tree in St Mary’s Quadrangle, the medieval ruins of St Andrews cathedral, or the quiet, lesser-known lanes, each visitor can find a view that is special to them. It is a moving tribute to the historic town.

Featured prints are titled, ‘St Mary’s Quadrangle from the East’, and ‘St Andrews Cathedral ruins’.

The gallery’s opening hours are between 10:00 and 17:00, from Tuesday until Saturday.
