Yes, your kids can draw on the gallery walls πŸ‘€πŸ«£πŸ–οΈ

Most galleries ask little ones to look, not touch. This week, we’re doing the opposite.

From 14 to 17 October, Teal House Gallery is handing over a whole white wall to mums, dads and their little ones. Bring your kids, grab a crayon, and let them go wild. Big scribbles, wobbly houses, rainbows, portraits of mum: every mark counts.

The wall sits alongside the HA Studios H A Studios exhibition, a collection by Holly Holly Christine Callaghan and Afif AFIF EL-KHUFFASH | Expert in Newborn Care | Prof of Paediatrics dedicated to motherhood, and the bond between parents and children. Your family’s drawings become part of the story. By the end of the week, the wall turns into one big artwork made by Dublin families.

For Teal House Gallery, art is all about connection, finding a piece that makes you smile, sparks a feeling or simply stops you in your tracks.

Steve and Olena, co-founders of the gallery, share a glimpse of some of the artists and works they represent, from bold, expressive pieces filled with colour and energy to contemporary works with their own story to tell.

Meet the team and explore the Teal House Gallery collection in person at Art Source 2026 this November.

THE TRASH TALKER, 2026 β€” .art TinKicker

What happens when politics becomes entertainment?

Maybe the set dressing should be a little more honest.

The Trash Talker depicts Donald Trump emerging from a wheelie bin, surrounded by rubbish, discarded bags and a banana peel. First unveiled at Can-al Fest in St Mullins, the sculpture quickly travelled far beyond Ireland β€” appearing across international news, photography, video and social media.

Here, the podium is replaced by a bin.

The work looks at personality, spectacle, power and the increasingly blurred line between politics and performance β€” using humour and satire to question the theatre surrounding political leadership.

β€œThe bin is Irish. The behaviour is universal.”

The work is directed at governments, political leadership and state power β€” not at American people or American identity

Governments are fair material.

TinKicker is an Irish street and social-commentary artist from Wexford, working across stencil, sculpture and mixed media. His work uses humour, familiar imagery and satire to explore politics, power, media and contemporary culture.

Now represented by Teal House Gallery,

6 South Anne street, Dublin.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our artists, Patrick Sutton. Although we only knew each other briefly over the last year, he was always such a gentleman and with an amazing story.

His work at the Gaiety Theatre and Smock Alley will leave a long lasting legacy. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

IN HER IMAGE | DUBLIN

Sometimes a meeting in Basel Art Basel turns into an exhibition in Dublin. And this is exactly the kind of art-world magic we love. :)

This August, Rukh Art Hub Rukh Art Hub and Teal House Gallery@tealhousegallery come together for In Her Image, bringing seven artists into one space and one conversation.

The exhibition explores femininity as a living creative force, through strength and vulnerability, beauty and imperfection, intuition, memory, and the freedom to create and transform.

But In Her Image is also about something we deeply believe in: contemporary culture is created through dialogue. Artists bring their own histories, experiences and cultural backgrounds, but they don’t need to be divided by borders to be understood.

Different countries. Different artistic languages. One shared contemporary cultural landscape.

And yes, sometimes all it takes to start a new international collaboration is a conversation in Basel and someone saying, β€œWe should do something together.” 😎

Well, we did.
