The Monterey International Pop Festival 🎹⚡

At the Monterey International Pop Festival in June of 1967, 59 years ago this month, Paul Beaver and Bernie Krause set up a booth to demonstrate the Moog modular synthesizer, which led to several sessions with rock groups, including The Doors and The Monkees.

Released on April 14th, 2026, the Bob Moog Tribute Edition (BMTE) Minimoog was designed by Moog Music, Inc. as an homage to the pioneering efforts of the company’s namesake.

Tarkus⚡🎹

Released 55 years ago this month, Emerson, Lake & Palmer released their second studio album, Tarkus. Side one is primarily occupied by the title track, which comprises seven sections: Eruptions, Stones of Years, Iconoclast, Mass, Manticore, Battlefield, and Aquatarkus.

You can explore this track and more as a part of the Bob Moog Timeline Exhibit at the Moogseum. The Bob Moog Timeline also includes over 700 pieces of archival material awaiting exploration.
